December 2016 Favorites

5:24:00 PM

It has been quite a long time since I sat down and finally took the time to update everything. Between juggling school works and the holiday festivities, I did not have the luxury to curate a blog post that I am one hundred percent happy with. However, by some unknown miracle, I was struck with numerous ideas last night and lo and behold, my December Favorites.

Happy Skin Liquid Matte Lipstick in Naked Peach (aka Denise Go-Ochoa shade from the Glam Squad Line)
This is hands down one of my favorite liquid lipstick both formula and color-wise. Against my skin tone, it is the PERFECT everyday peach toned nude shade. So if you have a fair to medium skin tone, this would look natural on you. To be honest with this particular product, you don't need to apply a lot (but if you want to apply it liberally, then I tell you, this is a one swipe wonder). What I do is I dab the applicator on my lips and spread the product with my fingers. I find that technique gives me a very natural looking outcome. Moreover, I am extremely bananas with its formula. This does not make my lips chap at all and this is coming from someone who has very dry lips.

Benefit Liquid Highlighter in Sun Beam
The Balm's Mary-Louminizer

Lately I have been obsessed with highlighters and so far, these two are my favorite among my tiny collection of strobing wonders. Sun Beam is for those days when you want a natural glow; mix it with your face base (foundation, bb cream, etc.) or simply place it directly on the highest points of your face and you are good to go. Mary -Lou on the other hand is the liberated sister of Sun Beam. Pigmentation wise, this is more illuminating but has the same yellow-gold undertone as the liquid highlighter. Oh, the best factor about these two? THEY ARE NOT CHUNKY AT ALL.

Jo Malone in Blackberry and Bay

My favorite scent for this month is the Jo Malone in Blackberry and Bay (mind you, this was a gift. I'm too stingy to purchase this on my own). This smells so fresh and elegant - not your typical floral scents which makes it perfect for special occasions. I love it and if ever by some miracle I am able to afford it without being broke, then by all means I would repurchase it.

Bench's Hand Cream in Blue Me Away

This is yet again another gift from a very close friend. At first I was surprised- I was not aware that Bench carries hand creams na pala! I don't know how much this costs but the only thing that I can tell you is that this is amazeballs. My hands are very dry and I have tried several hand creams and this is one of the best simply because it works. The only thing about this product is that it is quite fragrant (so if you're not into that then this might not be for you).

That ends my december 2016 favorites. I am looking forward to writing more blogposts next year, which is only a few days away! Happy Holidays, everyone! :)
